About Out Growing In

I looked into my son’s closet and thought OMG!!! What am I going to do with all of these clothes? There were FIVE garbage bags full of clothes my son and daughter Out Grew in about EIGHT months. Some of the clothes were gifts, some were hand me downs, and we bought most of them. As I looked at the pile I felt bad about getting rid of them because there had to be hundreds of dollars worth of clothes. An investment that I wasn’t sure I’d ever see a return on. So my husband and I started talking about what we could do with them to make some money to buy them new clothes. I was sure there would be about the same size pile of clothes in another Eight months. That was when the IDEA for SWAPPING clothes came to us.

We are very impulsive so we began developing the ideas, concepts, names, and designs for Out Growing In immediately. With my master programmer husband at my side and my design and concept ideas we hit the pavement running.

Out Growing In is a place for families to live more affordably. We have seen so many stories of families that want to make sure their children have everything they need and more. But unfortunately cannot go out and buy hundreds of dollars worth of clothes. So this is a place where parents can find like new clothes for their children for only the cost of shipping. The value of clothes in the box you will receive is going to be the fraction of the cost for buying all new clothes. It will even be less than buying the same quality of clothes from a consignment shop. This is where you will see a return on your investment on your children’s clothes.

As we were developing Out Growing In, swapping became a very import concept that I wanted to expand on. So my Idea Swapping page was born. This is a place were I would love Mom’s and families to “swap” their ideas about different topics from baby care to family travel to shopping.

Keeping people as excited about Out Growing In as we are is also important to me. So we decided to have monthly drawings, contests, surprise boxes, and games to find “hidden boxes.”
